What are NDIS household tasks?
A plain-English explanation of household task supports, what they can include, and how they are agreed with a provider.
The basics
Household task supports help participants manage everyday activities at home that are difficult to complete without assistance. The supports available to any individual depend on what is included and funded in their NDIS plan.
These supports are delivered alongside a participant, with the aim of keeping the home safe, comfortable and manageable.
What support can look like
Common examples include general cleaning, laundry, dishes, tidying and assistance with simple meal preparation. Tasks are agreed in advance so both the participant and the provider are clear about what will happen at each visit.
Agreeing supports with a provider
Before supports begin, a provider should confirm the tasks, the days and times, and how changes will be handled. At Ready 2 Care this is recorded in a service agreement so nothing is left unclear.
